Under the #Sathi_Initiative of Better Chitwan, COVID relief materials have been provided to 86 economically weak families of disadvantaged community in Ward No. 5 and 15 of Ratnanagar Municipality in East Chitwan. The program was organized in collaboration with Ratnanagar Municipality and the concerned ward office. Essential food, safety and sanitation items have been provided to the families and children who are facing problems due to COVID 19.

Coordinator Bhattarai also requested beneficiaries to keep the children and family safe by adopting the necessary safety measures as the infection rate of COVID is gradually increasing.
Ward member of Ratnanagar-5, Bholadevi Gaudel and ward president of ward no. 15, Homnath Lamichhane were present as chief guests while Samundra Bhattarai coordinated and Renuka Dhakal facilitated the program on behalf of Better Chitwan.
14 families of Madi Municipalities and 68 families of Bharatpur Metropolitan City have been assisted under the Friendship Program. Better Chitwan has been providing essential items like masks, soap, sanitary pads and children’s books, health counseling, health items and treatment assistance to the needy people free of cost. With the financial support of Flying Aid Nepal, in coordination with the Human Practice Foundation and the local municipality, the organization aims to help children and their families at risk in seven municipalities of Chitwan.
